Turn to Thompson for Relevant and Comprehensive On-Site Training That Spans the Entire Government Contract Lifecycle!

The U.S. Federal Government is the largest customer in the world, and doing business in the federal marketplace can lead to substantial revenue and growth opportunities. Unfortunately, those opportunities also come with significant risks.

The compliance requirements of government contracting are unparalleled in the commercial world. In addition to the Federal Acquisition Regulation and its agency supplements, contractors often face heightened labor and accounting requirements, as well as onerous cybersecurity reporting requirements. Government contractors may also be subject to a full disclosure of costs and intensive audits from the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). And that’s not even getting into the potential minefields surrounding government reimbursement of costs, or the threat of bid protests!

Most companies are focused on winning awards and maximizing contract performance, and don’t have the resources to spend on fully staffed compliance, accounting and estimating departments. Or even if they do, they often face the challenge of ensuring that their staff is up to speed with the myriad of changing requirements.

That’s where Thompson comes in

  • Recognize the challenges that arise and how to address risk and integrity
  • Follow key federal guidelines, compliance regulations and legislative authorities to address technical and program performance

What’s Included?

Our standard training program includes:

FAR Benefit -- Augment your compliance training and internal controls programs!

The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR 52.203-13), entitled Contractor Code of Business Ethics and Conduct, requires contractors not represented as small businesses to establish an ongoing business ethics awareness and compliance program, as well as effective internal controls. Purchasing compliance resources can augment your company’s code of ethics and training programs by providing specific guidance on contractual obligations. Training can also be a significant part of an internal control system.
